Shalom House Ministries
Is a nonprofit 501- C- 3 agency focusing on the recovery of women suffering from alcohol & drug addiction. The ministry was founded in January of 1999 and opened a half-way house in Anderson SC. Seven years later we were blessed to take the ministry to a high level of long term recovery called Shalom Center. The center is located on 104 acre farm in Belton SC, which provides up to 9 months of ministry for women. We have 2 dormitories, classrooms, a chapel and a remote & peaceful setting to nurture and care for the women. In depth studies of 12 step chemical dependency & co-dependency are taught in the first 2 quarters and a work/study program in the 3rd quarter. Women who remain in the program for the 3rd quarter learn accountability and job skills by working at Remnants. At the end of their 3rd quarter, women may also move to Anderson and reside in a transitional halfway house, where they use new skills to successfully live life, they continue with group studies, meetings and are required to find employment, pay rent and be responsible members of our community. For more information or an application for entrance, call Shalom Center, Belton SC (864) 338-9875.
